TCAA is seeking member applicants who are interested in serving on the Planning Committee. The goal of the planning committee is to help ensure that speakers provide high-quality, relevant, and informative presentations on topics pertinent to municipal legal work within the State of Texas.
Applications are due by October 1, 2026. (see below)
Planning Committee
- The Board of Directors will appoint a Planning Committee to review and recommend potential conference speakers.
- The Committee’s membership should represent a cross-section of TCAA membership and attempt to include a diverse group of individuals, most of whom should have attended past conferences. The Committee’s membership can include members of the Board.
- The Committee shall be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and recommending speakers based on an board approved criteria.
By completing and submitting this application, I hereby attest to the following:
- I am interested in serving on the TCAA Planning Committee and wish to be considered.
- I am an active or associate member in good standing with TCAA.
- I understand that service on the Planning Committee requires that I attend 2-5 virtual planning meetings during the course of a year.
- I understand that the Planning Committee will be actively involved in planning the sessions and speakers for the following events:
- Riley Fletcher Seminar: February of even ending years (planning meetings will occur in the previous fall)
- Summer Conference: June (planning meetings will occur within Nov-March)
- Fall Conference: Oct/Nov (planning meetings will occur within May-August)
- I understand the commitment for this committee in one year. (October of year 1 through September of year 2).
- I understand that service on the planning committee is voluntary, and that I am responsible for my own expenses.
